The most expensive home and street for house price sales in Milton Keynes have been revealed.

The average cost of a property in the Bucks town has been £267,299 over the last 12 months, meaning that properties in Milton Keynes are around £6,000 more expensive than the national average in England and Wales.

In total, there were 2947 house sales in the Milton Keynes area in 2020.

Analysis of Land Registry sales records by estate agent Dominic Marce Price Paid showed that the highest priced residential property transaction in the Milton Keynes area in 2020 was in West Hill, Apley Guise.

The figure stood at £1.56m when the property was sold in September.

In terms of streets with more than one sale, Mill Lane in Woburn Sands had the highest average price of £1.38m per sale.

The busiest street was Cicero Crescent, with 22 sales totalling £7.9m.

Estate agent Dominic Marcel said: “The property market here is surprisingly buoyant and this research demonstrates as such.

"Of course, each neighbourhood is different in price terms and desirability and so there’s a huge mix of activity and value across the board.

"Those that are curious as to whether their property has increased in value or indeed wish to see if their own street is on course to top the table as the priciest this year, should get a professional valuation from a local estate agent that truly knows the area.

"Last year was a real mixed bag for the market and 2021 is bound to be too as we recover from the Covid crisis and start to get back to normality.”
