Two women have been arrested and released on bail after police officers were reportedly attacked in Milton Keynes over the Easter weekend.

The two women left a property and are said to have been verbally abusive towards two officers outside Shipton Hill, Bradville, at around 12.15am on Saturday (April 3).

Thames Valley Police said the women then ran from the officers as they tried to arrest them, and then “attacked” the two officers, injuring one of them.

The officer suffered bruising to his face and a scalp injury, but did not require hospital treatment.

Two women, aged 24 and 26 from Milton Keynes were arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and assaulting an emergency worker. They were both released on police bail until May 6.

Investigating officer PC Rebecca Holton based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “The officers in this case were assaulted while carrying out their duty.

“We are investigating this incident and would like to speak to anyone with information about what happened.

“It is thought there were a number of people who potentially filmed this incident and we would ask that that footage is shared with us rather than on social media.”
