A HOUSING association has submitted to the council plans for a new block of flats at the site of some garages in an area deemed a ‘flood risk’.

Red Kite Community Housing seeks from Bucks Council permission to build 12 new affordable homes on the site of some garages, in Foxes Piece, Marlow.

The build will comprise six one-bed and six two-bed units over two floors.

It also plans to install 47 ‘resident and neighbourhood parking’ spaces, and bin storage.

Associated hard and soft landscaping is also planned, owing to the site’s existing “poor quality shrubs to small areas” and ‘damaged, poor quality Tarmac’.

The site is currently vacant having previously been garages, and is presently used as ‘informal parking’, according to a council document.

The site is also within an area at risk of flooding, according to the same report.

The applicant is now ‘awaiting a decision’ from Bucks Council about this proposal.
