LOCALS have reacted to a mobile home seemingly left on the side of the road – but how it came to be there is still a mystery.

A caravan left busted and tilted on its side on Latimer Bottom in Little Chalfont prompted different responses from the public, with some saying it is ‘selfish fly-tipping’ and others speculating whether there had been a crash.

Images on social media show the unit with broken glass beside it, open doors, and a trailer attachment.

Others appear to show furniture inside.

There are also “police aware” stickers in the window and traffic cones around the outside.

Some windows have also been sealed shut using duct tape.

“Madness, selfish fly-tipping,” someone tweeted at Bucks Council on April 9.

“WTF,” wrote another.

While someone else tweeted: “From the photos tweeted yesterday (April 8)…it looks in habitable condition with furniture still inside.

“When I drove past, I did assume that there had been an accident with the transporter rather than being dumped.”

Bucks Free Press: On social media on April 8, Bucks Fly-Tipping tweeted: “No matter what @staceydooley or @BBCOne might have you think, this is not our house.”

Adding: “It is madness, and it was very nearly in the middle of our street.”

Bucks Council and Thames Valley Police were approached for comment.
