A 19-year-old woman suffered 'serious facial injuries' after she was assaulted in a beer garden in Aylesbury.

At around 11pm on Thursday, April 15, the 19-year-old was at the Broad Leys Pub on the Wendover Road within the town.

She was then hit in the face with a glass, with Thames Valley Police describing her facial injuries as 'serious'.

The alleged culprit has been described as being a white woman who is around 5ft5ins tall of large build.

She was seen wearing a pink top and black fluffy jacket at the time of the incident.

Investigating officer PC Richard Ord, of Aylesbury police station, said: "This assault has left a woman with serious injuries.

"I want to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or the moments leading up to it at the Broad Leys pub.

"If you have any information which may assist us, please call 101, quoting 43210159461."

Beer gardens reopened on Monday, April 12 as lockdown restrictions were lifted across the country.
