Building work has started on low-carbon, family homes in High Wycombe.

The £1.9 million development will see 10 properties built West Wycombe Road on the land next to the Clifton Lodge Hotel in

Designed to be low-carbon, using air-source heat pump technology in the houses and apartments to provide heating and hot water.

The development is hoped to complement the surrounding dwellings and natural topography.

It provides communal amenity space for the apartments and good-sized family gardens for the homes.

Having started on site last month, work is due to be completed in March 2022.

Helix is working with local developer Esant to deliver the homes, which will be for both private sale and rent.

Carl Mulkern, Managing Director of Helix, said: “We are pleased to have started work on site to provide these much-needed, low-carbon family homes in this highly desirable location.

The project will comprise four one-bedroom and two two-bedroom flats and two pairs of three-bedroom, semi-detached houses.
