1. Wingstop opens restaurant in Reading's Oracle

A new restaurant opened in The Oracle this week.

Wingstop is located at the Broad Street entrance of the shopping centre and was set to open on Friday, April 16.

Reading will be Wingstop’s 11th UK location and their second location outside of London.

2. The Swan in Reading up for sale

A pub business is up for sale in Reading and could be yours.

The Swan on Basingstoke Road, Three Mile Cross, is listed on Rightmove for £895,000.

The pub is a two storey, Grade II listed building set in its own plot.

3. Banksy Reading Prison mural restored by another street artist

An original Banksy mural that had been painted over by his street artist rival has been restored.

Reading's very own answer to 'Banksy' appears to have brought the typewriter back to life again.

A street artist who goes by the name 'Peachy' has painted over the typewriter to make it look like Banksy's work again.

The sunshine and easing of restrictions gave a sense of normality across Berkshire this week.

For the first time this year, most hairdressers, shops, gyms and beer gardens reopened.

A steady stream of people flowed through the town centres including The Lexicon, The Oracle and Windsor to visit high street favourites such as Primark, River Island and TK Maxx.

The government allowed pubs and restaurants to reopen on Monday, April 12, but all customers must sit outside.
