With coronavirus restrictions continue to ease this summer many of us will hoping to head to the seaside.

The uncertainty of trips abroad means lots of residents will be looking to stay in the UK for their summer holidays.

Unfortunately for these Bucks towns, they are some of the furthest places away from the sea you can be.

The closest beach as the crow flies to Milton Keynes is 67.78 miles towards Bell Wharf Beach which is in Leigh on Sea, Essex.

Aylesbury is a couple of miles closer to Bell Wharf Beach being 65.71 miles away.

High Wycombe is slightly closer to the seaside being 58.22 miles away from Littlehampton Coastguards Beach in Arun, West Sussex.

However, none of these is as far away as the village that is further from the sea than any other human settlement in the UK.

Coton in the Elms in Derbyshire is 70 miles away from the beach, only a few more miles than Milton Keynes.
