A manhunt is underway after a man was punched twice in an attempted robbery.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was walking by Woodstock Court Playground in Bradville, Milton Keynes, at around 9.30pm on Saturday (April 17) when he was approached by two men.

They asked if he had a cigarette and when he told them he did not, they demanded he hand over his mobile phone.

One of the thugs then swung his arm at the victim, which struck his cheek. As the victim ran away, the other man also punched him.

The victim managed to get away on foot and nothing was stolen.

He suffered a cut to his upper cheek but did not require any hospital treatment, Thames Valley Police said.

Both muggers are described as white men in their late 20s.

One was around about 6ft 2in tall, with a slim build. He had light ginger hair that was long but not quite shoulder length. He was wearing a black face covering and a black shiny puffer jacket.

The other man was around 5ft 11in tall with a slim build. He had short black hair and was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Sebastian Kuzoe, based at Milton Keynes police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident, or anyone who saw the men matching this description in the area at the time, to please get in touch.”
