A DRIVER who "ignored" a warning to get their car insured has been stopped by police in Milton Keynes.

Thames Valley Police Roads Policing tweeted yesterday morning to explain officers had stopped a car in Milton Keynes.

The tweet said: " Vehicle owner had been written to and given the opportunity to get the vehicle insured.

"They decided to ignore this warning and risked getting stopped today whilst driving uninsured."

Police added the hashtag "not worth the risk".
