PLANS to convert the outdoor area of a Turkish restaurant to accommodate a new dining space have been submitted to the council.

Mr Turgut Iris has submitted to Bucks Council a ‘change of use’ application for Chanak Turkish Cuisine, on The Parade, in Bourne End.

Plans include converting the existing forecourt area for the use of 15 tables and 30 chairs, according to council documents.

The installation of a freestanding timber planter, some fixed half-glazed panels and a pergola are also planned.

However, the site is also within an area ‘at risk of flooding’, according to the report.

The owner, believed to reside in Shelburne Road, High Wycombe, has been notified of the proposal.

The applicant is now ‘awaiting a decision’ from Bucks Council.
