PLANS to convert the vacant premises of an off-licence to a takeaway have been submitted to the council.

Ms Cynthia Lewis, of James William Diner Ltd, Cressex Road, High Wycombe, has submitted to Bucks Council a ‘change of use’ application for 20 Crendon Street.

Plans include converting the existing retail unit, formerly Wycombe Wines, to a hot food takeaway and mini diner, council documents indicate.

Its proposed opening hours will be Monday to Friday, 11.30am-10pm, with the same hours on Saturday.

The takeaway will also open on Sunday and Bank Holidays, reports indicate.

A design and access statement reads: “The proposed use is acceptable within a commercial area, it provides a service and increases the variety of choice to the area.”

The applicant is now ‘awaiting a decision’ from Bucks Council.
