Travellers have pitched up in a field in Aylesbury.

Residents who live on Meadow Way woke up to around 25 caravans on a field near the cul-de-sac.

It is believed they arrived late on Thursday.

Meadow Way is next to several public footpaths, and eyewitnesses noticed that one van mounted the curb and drove onto the huge field at around 11.45am on April 23.

One neighbour told the Bucks Free Press: “They haven’t been here for around 20 years but when they did come here, they based themselves in one of the other fields."

It was also reported that Thames Valley Police visited the scene this morning (April 23).

It is believed that the group are here for ‘an event’ and will be leaving the area on Sunday.
