Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are four of the most interesting projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

Edmonds Road, Lane End, High Wycombe

Proposals have been lodged to build a new three-storey block of flats in Lane End.

Developers have submitted the plans to build five properties that are defined as ‘affordable’, of which one would be a two-bedroom flat and four would be one-bedroom.

The remaining eight properties would be categorised as ‘market flats’, comprising of two two-bedroom properties and six one-bedroom flats.

20 Crendon Street, High Wycombe

The application aims to a change of use from a shop to a takeaway/diner.

To the rear, a commercial kitchen will be installed which requires a commercial extraction unit.

No specific details on the cuisine of the takeaway have been released yet.

29 Marlow Road, High Wycombe

Another new takeaway could be coming to High Wycombe, should this proposal be given the green light.

The unit is currently vacant and was last used as a hairdressers.

The opening hours will be 11am to 11pm and again, no details have yet been released about the takeaway’s potential cuisine.

W G House, 2 Cressex Road, High Wycombe

More flats have also been proposed in this former office building in High Wycombe.

Developers have submitted proposals to change the use from office space to residential, in conjunction with the creation of eight new flats.

Internal alterations and extensions are proposed to accommodate the new properties.
