An off-duty officer helped rescue runaway horses earlier this week.

Following reports of two missing horses on the Amersham Road, an off-duty officer was on scene to help find the pair.

Local Police Community Support Officers also assisted in getting the loose pair back into their yard.

A tweet from Thames Valley police Chiltern & South Bucks read: "Following reports of loose horses on the Amersham Road yesterday, an off duty officer was on scene helping to secure the runaways before local PCSO's managed (with the very thankful help of a resident and the owner) to get them back into their yard."
