A 28-year-old man was stabbed in the leg after a fight broke out yesterday in High Wycombe.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the fight involving 10 to 20 people.

The incident happened at around 6pm in Rutland Avenue.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Gill Fox, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “This was a large-scale fight and I believe there will have been a number of witnesses as many of those present were filming the incident on their phones.

“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the fight, or has phone or dash-cam footage from the incident, to please get in touch with police.

“You can call 101 or make a report online, or for 100% anonymity, phone the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number 43210179212.

“This was a serious incident with the victim requiring stitches to a leg wound.

“We are investigating this incident thoroughly, and would urge anybody with any information to please contact police.”
