Conservative campaign boards have been vandalised in Beaconsfield ahead of the local elections next week.
At least two of the boards advertising the party have been damaged or destroyed, with one daubed in red spray paint and another ripped down and discarded.
Conservative Buckinghamshire Council hopeful Jackson Ng shared the photos on his Twitter page, saying they were "frustrating scenes".
He said: "A real shame that those who have lost the argument had to resort to vandalism and threats. Never mind - we will continue to work hard for our town."
Beaconsfield, which research found in 2015 was one of the first 'million-pound towns', is typically a Conservative stronghold.
Alastair Pike, another former councillor and Conservative Buckinghamshire Council candidate, added: "This simply demonstrates the shortcomings of individuals who do not really understand the arguments and cannot enter into meaningful debate."
And Conservative town council candidate Colette Browne branded those responsible "bored outsiders being vandals".
