Wycombe go into the final day of the season with a mathematical chance of staying in the Championship, after they defeated promotion-pushing Bournemouth 1-0 at Adams Park.
An Uche Ikpeazu screamer after four minutes, coupled with Derby’s defeat away at Swansea, mean that the Chairboys travel up to Middlesbrough on the final of the season, with a slim chance of avoiding relegation to League One.

The hosts started the match the better side and after a couple of half-chances from Ikpeazu, the big striker produced a moment of brilliance to give Wanderers the lead.
In the week that Wanderers revealed their Goal of the Season contenders, they need to add another to the list as the Ugandan forward scored a wonder goal.
The striker had the ball around 30-yards from goal, jogged, stopped, couldn’t see anything on, so he decided to unleash a bending effort that flew into the top right-hand corner.
Asmir Begovic had no chance and from Ikpeazu’s celebration, which saw him scream at the Wanderers bench in delight, his sixth of the campaign meant a lot to him.
Gareth Ainsworth’s men, who knew their fate was out of their hands, continued to dominate as seconds after going 1-0 up, Garath McCleary had a pop on the edge of the box, but Begovic was there to parry the shot away from 20-yards.
Bournemouth, who made six changes from their defeat to Brentford in their previous game, have already secured a play-off spot but were out of sorts, as Jonathan Woodgate’s men were hanging on.

Ikpeazu had a header midway through the first-half which was tipped over by Begovic, Jason McCarthy cracked a half-volley that crashed into the side-netting, Anthony Stewart had a header blocked off the line, Fred Onyedima fired over from 20-yards and Curtis Thompson tried his luck from distance.
It was a Wycombe onslaught and from the way they were playing, you wouldn’t have thought they were trying to stay up.
Bournemouth did have a couple of chances to score but David Brooks’ free-kick went wide from 30-yards on 22 minutes and moments later, the Welsh winger, along with Sam Surridge, both had efforts blocked off the line.
That was the best it got for Bournemouth as they couldn’t control the wave of Wycombe attempts.
One negative from the first-half for Ainsworth was that he lost both Dennis Adeniran and Jack Grimmer to injuries.
The second-half was an affair of few chances but on 62 minutes, Stewart produced a brilliant piece of defending to keep Wanderers' lead intact.
Brooks had rounded David Stockdale and had the whole goal to aim at.

Everyone in the ground was expecting the Welsh winger to equalise from six-yards, but Stewart threw himself at the ball, which deflected off his hip, and onto the bar.
It was an incredible piece of defending.
More injury worries for Ainsworth continued as Knight, who came on in the first-half, was taken off with a concussion and despite a Shane Long header that was saved by Stockdale, they go to Middlesbrough with a mathematical chance of staying up.
