Elections are almost upon us – and as many people cast their votes for their local councillors, patient pups are sure to be waiting outside polling stations, much to our delight.
Democratic dogs help their humans carry out their democratic duty – and take the top trend on Twitter (#dogsatpollingstations) at every election.
So if you’re heading out in Bucks to cast your vote with your pet pup (or your cat, rabbit or even a horse) share your pictures and help us spread some cheer.
The tradition never fails to raise a smile on a day that is otherwise quite serious.
Share a picture of your canine companion, or any other pets who have joined you, outside the polling station using the link below or email shruti.sheth@newsquest.co.uk.
