Sixty-five new homes in a quiet village, repairs to a Marlow shop unit and a new community cooking and wellbeing kitchen in High Wycombe are just some of the new plans that could be going ahead if Buckinghamshire Council gives them the green light.

Here are some of the most interesting plans put forward last week.

Community kitchen in Duke Street, High Wycombe - 21/06088/FUL

Unit B1 in Duke Street could be turned into a community cooking and wellbeing kitchen if new plans are given the go-ahead.

Details are still scarce, but it would involve changing the use of the ground floor from offices into community use, with the installation of windows and doors to replace the current roller shutter.

Developers J Walker and Son have put forward plans outlining how 65 new homes on land south of Rose Farm will look if given the go-ahead.

The roughly three hectare site could see seven one-bed, 17 two-bed, 25 three-bed, 15 four-bed and one five-bed built on it.

So far, one neighbour has objected to the plans.

David Gibbs highlighted how 160 homes are already being built on the Boxer Road complex nearby and even more home will put “undue strain” on the existing community, saying: “Enough is enough”.

Halifax on Marlow High Street could get repairs - 21/06122/LBC

5 Marlow High Street is Grade II listed so special permission is needed for works.

It will be a “complete repair” to all the external and internal structures to make sure it is watertight, while all guttering etc will be checked. Three windows will also be replaced at the back of the building.

Two detached houses built on Lye Green Road, Chesham - PL/21/1193/FA

The planned new two-storey houses would be in the largely concealed rear garden of number 76, with the extended driveway providing access and three parking spaces at the front of each. Both homes would have solar panels.
