Two men have been sentenced after they broke into a High Wycombe tattoo parlour.

Officers were called to the parlour, in Totteridge Road, just after 3am on December 4, 2018, where Mitchell Vella, 19, of no fixed abode, and Maccauley Lo, 23, of Rennie Close, High Wycombe, broke in.

A door panel was damaged to get access and officers arrested Vella inside the property, while Lo was arrested nearby with the help of a dog unit.

Nothing was stolen during the incident, police said.

Two weeks’ earlier, on November 1, 2018, Lo forced entry into a residential property in Disraeli Crescent in High Wycombe, stealing foreign currency and a digital camera.

Lo’s DNA was found on a glove that was left at the scene.

Vella pleaded guilty to one count of burglary non dwelling while Lo pleaded guilty to one count of burglary non dwelling and one count of burglary in a dwelling.

Vella previously admitted the offence in a hearing at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on February 12 this year, and was sentenced to 30 days rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay £250 in compensation.

Lo pleaded guilty to two offences and was sentenced to 14 months’ imprisonment suspended for two years, and ordered to pay £600 in compensation to his two victims in a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on May 4.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Francesca Keen, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Burglary is an incredibly personal crime and the victims of these offences have had to come to terms with the fact that someone has been inside their home and business and searched through their personal belongings.

“I am pleased that we have been able to bring these individuals to justice for the crimes they have committed.”
