A man was rushed to hospital last night after police were called to Iver.
There was speculation about the incident in Iver High Street on social media, but Thames Valley Police have reassured residents there is no wider risk to the public.
Officers said they were called to a fear for welfare incident at around 9.15pm on Monday night.
A man in his fifties was taken to hospital and he is still there today.
Police said: "This was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public. A scene watch is in place at this time."
