A teenage girl has revealed that she earns around ‘£10,000 a day’ due to her internet fame through a social networking site.

Alicia Breuer, 17, who is from Milton Keynes, created an account on TikTok last summer when the country was getting through its first lockdown, where she began uploading videos of her lip-syncing hits by the American singer-songwriter, Katy Perry.

Her content made her very popular through the site, and as of today, she boasts 756,000 followers on the platform, with an incredible 15m likes on her videos collectively.

She also has around 200,000 followers on her Instagram page, and has a YouTube channel that has just under 10k subscribers.

And nearly 12-months on from her newly found fame, the teen has revealed that the financial rewards of her internet success has seen her shelf plans to go to university.

The 17-year-old, who was studying for her A-Levels when she started her account last year, had plans to do a degree in psychology.

“If I’m now able to make £10,000 some days, I’m going to focus on my videos – there’s no point going to university.”

After posting her first videos on TikTok last June, she was quickly spotted by a leading digital talent manager which boosted her name and wealth, as the money Alicia makes is through promoting fashion and cosmetic brands such as Lancome, Urban Outfitters, Boohoo, Benefit, Fenty Beauty and Bershka.

And as well as lip-syncing to Katy Perry tunes, she also mimes to hits by Justin Timberlake, the Bee Gees, the Sugababes, and Drake.

Other content on her page includes ‘transition videos’, which see her in one outfit, before she clicks her fingers and she is in another piece of clothing.

She continued: “My form tutor and psychology tutor also know all about what I’m doing and they have been really supportive, too.
