Two teenage girls from Buckinghamshire have been arrested for an alleged assault in Thame.
At around 3.50pm on Monday, May 17, a teenage girl, was walking through the alleyway next to Hazel Avenue towards Cuttle Brook Nature Reserve in the town when she was approached by two girls.
They grabbed the girl by her hair, punched her in the face and dragged her to the ground where they continued to kick and stamp on her.
They then left the scene.
The victim suffered redness and bruising to her cheek as well as a lump to the back of her head that she received hospital treatment for.
Following the incident, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old girl from Bucks were arrested on suspicion of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm.
They have been released on police bail.
Investigating officer, PC Olivia Horsley, based at Thame police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have information about this assault to please come forward.
“I believe there may have been footage of this incident on social media, therefore would also ask people to share that with us.
