Police have confirmed there has been a “high volume” of stolen cars in the Marlow area.

Most of the vehicles stolen have been high-end BMWs but there have also been reports of a Mercedes and a Tesla being taken.

Officers are treating the thefts as linked with the first vehicle stolen from Moyleen Rise on May 7 at 3:30am.

On the same night, a silver BMW was taken from Barnard’s Hill as the owners CCTV caught the car thieves driving up from Moyleen Rise in the first stolen car.

The cars were stolen using keyless entry with one owner now using a steering wheel lock after his BMW was stolen without the use of his keys.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “There was a report of a theft of a vehicle made to the force, which took place in Moyleen Rise in Marlow.

“The matter was reported at 9.45am on May 7.

“Another report of the theft of a vehicle was also made from Barnard’s Hill in Marlow on the same day.

The matter was reported at 8.14am.

“No arrests have been made for either incident, which are both believed to have happened between 3am and 3.45am on the morning of May 7."

“Officers are treating both incidents as linked, and anyone with information relating to either incident is asked to make a report online, or call 101 quoting reference 43210195008 or 43210194872”
