A man has avoided jail after making “threatening” 999 calls to the police.
At a hearing at High Wycombe Magistrates Court on Wednesday, May 5, Adeel Masih, aged 28, of Bantry Road in Slough was given a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months.
Masih had pleaded guilty to sending a letter, communication or article conveying a threatening message.
The court heard how on October 16, 2020, Masih made two calls to the police on 999 which “conveyed a threat” and was intended to “cause anxiety” to the other person on the call.
Also during the hearing, Masih was given an additional 12-week sentence, also suspended for 18 months, for committing an offence while serving a suspended sentence order from September 2020.
