PLANS to convert some offices in a residential area to new flats have been submitted to the council.

Mr Anthony Dakin and Ms Sally McCombie have submitted to Bucks Council a ‘change of use’ application for Buchanan House, Malthouse Square, in Princes Risborough.

Plans detail the “change of use of existing offices with part loft conversion to create four one-bed self-contained flats”.

Three private parking spaces will also be provided. The existing offices had only two.

The purpose of the application is to ‘determine if prior approval is required’ from the local authority.

A planning statement reads: “The submitted plans have been provided to demonstrate that the building can be converted into four apartments in a manner that will require no external alteration.”

It adds: “We trust that the council will conclude that prior approval is not required for this proposal and that my client can proceed with this change of use as permitted development.”

The applicant is now ‘awaiting a decision’ from Bucks Council.
