A body has been found in the search for a missing boy in the River Thames.
Officers were called to the Thames between Cookham and Bourne End yesterday (May 31) at around 3pm to reports that a teenage boy had entered the water but hadn’t been seen leaving.
Following searches, the body of a boy was recovered from the river by divers.
His next of kin has been informed.
His death is being treated as unexplained and not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Bourne End marina was cordoned off for a number of hours yesterday but has now repened.
Bucks Fire and Rescue and South Central Ambulance Service were searching the water, while a police helicopter circled overhead.

Detective Inspector Mark Carolan, based at Reading police station, said: “Our thoughts remain with the boy’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
“I would like to thank the emergency services, local residents and the divers from Specialist Group International who assisted our officers in searching for the boy.”
Sadly, there have been a number of incidents in the Thames over the years, including when much-loved Marlow schoolboy 13-year-old Kyrece Francis died while swimming in the Thames on July 22, 2014.
Last year, two men died in Cookham after getting into difficulty at Lulle Brook, and yesterday (May 31), the body of a woman was reportedly pulled out of the River Thames at Boulters Lock in Maidenhead at around 7.15am.
