A person has died following a ‘serious incident’ in Fairford Leys.

In the late morning/early afternoon of Wednesday, June 2, the emergency services were called to Fairford Leys Way just outside Aylesbury, with the police cordoning off the area.

An air ambulance also arrived at the scene but around 2.30pm, Transport for Bucks had confirmed that a person had died.

It has not been confirmed who has died and what was the cause of the death, but residents who live on the street, as well as Horton Close, believe an electrical worker who was working on some lampposts in the area, may have had an accident.

Several other electrical workers were seen in the area whilst police cordoned off the area.

Following the news, South Central Ambulance Service said: “I can confirm that we were called at 11:30 to Fairford Leys Way to a medical emergency.

“We sent to the scene a rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, ambulance officer and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance to assist one patient.

"Any further information will need to come from Thames Valley Police.”

One resident said: “This is very sad.

It is not known when the road will reopen.
