A PLOT that saw two previous attempts to build on it rejected by the council now has a new application for five houses waiting to be decided.

Mr Bill Ling, of Bristal Investments Ltd, in Maidenhead, has submitted to Bucks Council a planning application for land to the rear of 2 and 3 Queensway, and 352 Amersham Road, in Hazlemere.

Plans detail the construction of a terrace of three two-bed properties and a pair of two-bed semi-detached homes, all with private gardens and all bound for the housing market – five in total.

Some landscaping is also planned, as is vehicle and pedestrian access from Amersham Road.

Ten new car parking spaces will be created, as well as five bicycle and one motorcycle bays.

The site is currently used as ‘gardens’, according to council documents.

An application for eight flats was dismissed at appeal in Nov 2020. Another for five properties was refused in April this year.

A planning statement reads: “The proposed development will not only contribute to the housing needs, but also provide for smaller units for which there is a clear demand.”

It adds: “The houses proposed would balance out the number of large family units predominant in the area.”

Bristal Investments Ltd own the site.

The applicant is now awaiting a decision from Bucks Council.
