A 22-year-old Aylesbury father who took his own life was discovered by his parents, an inquest has heard.

Following his passing on February 26, an inquest into the death of Davey Reilly was conducted at Beaconsfield Coroners Court today (Thursday).

The court heard how the day before he died, Davey had an argument with his wife, who left home to stay with her parents and took their five-month-old son with her.

Davey, who was on medication for depression, was discovered dead at his home in Lester Road the following day by his parents.

Davey’s mother and father were worried when they could not get in contact with their son that morning, and found him hanging in his living room when they let themselves into his flat.

Police and ambulance staff attended the scene, and Davey was pronounced dead that morning.

Assistant coroner Nick Graham concluded that Davey died by suicide.

He said: “If you look at the circumstances, he took an act that resulted in his death, and he had the intention to do so.

“Given some of his medical history, and the way he took his life, I think a suicide conclusion is the most appropriate.”
