Fish and chips on a Friday night – it’s one of our most loved traditions and we’re on the hunt to find out who does it best here in Buckinghamshire.

Suggestions came pouring in last month when we launched our competition to find the best chip shop in the county.

And because there were so many nominations, we decided to extend our closing date to give even more of you the chance to vote for your favourite chippy.

Nominations now close on June 20 and the top 10 will be announced the week commencing June 21.

We’re blessed with an amazing choice of chippies and takeaways have been there when we needed them more than ever during lockdown – so now is your chance to give them some much-deserved recognition.

Whether it’s their perfect pies, crispy golden batter, succulent chicken or fluffy chips that does it for you, show your local favourite chippy your appreciation.

Group Editor Andrew Colley said: “Takeaways have been a lifeline for hospitality businesses during the pandemic and the Bucks Free Press wants to acknowledge their hard work in keeping the county going.”

Whether it’s Tuckin, in Frogmoor, High Wycombe, The Fat Fish, in Wooburn Green, Smiles, in Beaconsfield, Sea World Fish N Chips, in Little Chalfont, or another fish and chip eatery – and there are many more to choose from – you have until next Sunday to tell us what you think.

All you need to do to nominate your best chip shop in Bucks is visit www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/bucksfreepress-bestchipshop by June 20.

We will then announce the 10 businesses with the most nominations and you can vote between them to crown the Bucks Free Press’ Best Fish and Chip Shop 2021 winner.
