A High Wycombe man has denied burglary and assaulting a police officer after appearing in court.
At Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday) Zayde Ghafoor, a 38-year-old from Spearing Road, pleaded not guilty to three charges.
Ghafoor is alleged to have stolen cash and a cheque book worth £200 from a home in High Wycombe on April 25.
He is also accused of stealing £20 from a home on February 28.
The third accusation is that he assaulted a police officer, Joseph Openshaw, on April 28.
Having denied committing the offences, Ghafoor will be tried at a summary trial at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 28.
Following the hearing, Ghafoor was denied bail and will be remanded in custody until his trial.
