Monday, June 21 marked the summer solstice.
The event brings the longest day of the year and takes place as the sun reaches its highest possible point when the earth geographical pole becomes most inclined towards it.
It gives us the most hours of sunlight in the northern hemisphere, with the southern hemisphere experiencing the same thing in December.
It also marks the end of spring and the start of summer, which brings with it the promise of warmer days, lazing in the sun and enjoying walks and picnics in the stunning Bucks countryside.
The talented BFP Camera Club photographers have captured the beauty of Bucks in the summer, with its rolling hills for miles and gorgeous wildlife. These are just some of our favourite photos.
