A suspected drug dealer has been jailed for almost three years after police found cocaine and cannabis in a raid at a Chalfont St Peter property.

Zain Abedin, aged 27, of Rowliff Road, High Wycombe, was arrested when officers swooped in on the property and seized cocaine and cannabis, as well as cash and other items, on Tuesday, May 4.

Abedin was charged the following day and was remanded in custody by High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to all offences.

On May 5, he pleaded guilty to a count each of possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession with intent to supply cannabis in a hearing at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.

He also admitted one count of acquiring/using or possessing criminal property at the same hearing.

Abedin was sentenced to two years and 10 months behind bars at Amersham Law Courts last Friday (June 25).

Investigating officer PC O’Neill, of the Amersham Stronghold team, said: “I am pleased that we have swiftly brought Abedin to justice, and he has been sentenced to prison as a result.

“Abedin’s arrest was as a result of an intelligence-led drugs warrant, and I hope that our actions will send a stern message to others who seek to deal drugs in our communities that we will never tolerate such criminal activity.

“Thames Valley Police’s Stronghold teams will proactively and robustly pursue drug dealers, who cause such great harm to our communities, often targeting and exploiting vulnerable individuals.

“We remain committed to remove drugs and drug dealers from our communities and we will continue to seek, disrupt, and make the Thames Valley a hostile place for serious and organised criminals to commit such acts.”
