A drug dealer from High Wycombe has been jailed for four and a half years and ordered to pay £2,740 to charity.

Omar Zaheer, aged 21, of Bushey Close, High Wycombe, was involved in a police chase earlier this year whilst being investigated for a crime two years ago.

Zaheer's first crime took place in 2019 when he was stopped in his vehicle and a quantity of class A drugs and cash was found.

His second crime occurred this year in April where he made off from officers and was subsequently detained for a search.

A quantity of class A drugs and cash were located nearby by police officers.

He was charged with the offences on April 12 and April 29 before pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 1.

Investigating officer PC Joseph Openshaw, of the Stronghold team based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Thames Valley Police take a strong stance on drug dealing as we see the effect it has on the vulnerable every day.

“Drug dealers do not consider the consequences of their actions on the community.

“Through our Stronghold campaign, we will continue to target and disrupt drug dealers, making the streets of the Thames Valley a hostile place for them to commit their criminality.

“I hope that this sentence will act as a deterrent to those seeking to profit from drug dealing and that Thames Valley Police will robustly pursue dealers and put them before the courts.”
