A High Wycombe man has been fined after he destroyed a police custody phone.

Jason Edwards, aged 38, of Wingate Avenue in High Wycombe, was fined £45 after he pleaded guilty to criminal damage at a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 24.

The court heard how on April 21, Edwards destroyed a police custody cell phone, worth £69.99, while he was in Maidenhead.

At the same hearing, Edwards also admitted to failing to surrender to custody at High Wycombe Police Station on June 17, for which he was fined a further £30.
