An area in Buckinghamshire has been named as one of the fastest-growing commuter towns in the country.

According to the card payment provider, Dojo, Milton Keynes has been ranked eighth out of 10 places in the UK which has seen an increase in growth since the pandemic started last March.

The study has based this on the following:

  • The property market – The change in property prices and number of sales in the area
  • Job vacancies – The number of job openings in the area
  • Salaries – The average wage of employees
  • Footfall – The transit station, workplace and residential movement detected on Google Maps

The study has revealed that MK as a commuter town, has increased by 1.62 per cent during the pandemic, as the area offers an ‘ideal out-of-London solution for those wanting to get out of the busy city with its quick and direct transport routes’, according to Dojo.
