A new Love Island contestant has entered the villa - and he hails from High Wycombe.

Teddy Soares, 26, now lives in Manchester but went to school in High Wycombe and worked in the town.

The senior financial consultant is hoping to find love in the villa and says he is "not afraid to step on toes to get the girl I want".

But High Wycombe residents may recognise Teddy, as he went to school here, worked here and still visits the area regularly according to his Instagram page.

According to someone who went to school with him, Teddy attended Saint Bernard's Catholic School, which went on to become known as St Michael's Catholic School, in Daws Hill Lane.

According to his LinkedIn page, Teddy also went to Henley College and had a job at Biffa in Cressex as a customer service representative back in 2014.

His Instagram page - where he has over 6,000 followers - shows him making previous visits to the Crazy Bear hotel in Beaconsfield, and he apparently spent Christmas in High Wycombe.

Teddy said he is "ready for love" and wants to "take it seriously" if he finds someone in the Love Island village.

Describing himself, Teddy said: "I’m cuddly, caring and all my friends, when they have an issue, they call me and confide in me. I’m always that person to lean on.

"I think I’m going to add that element with the boys. From a girls’ standpoint, they’re going to have to get used to me stirring a few pots and causing a bit of a ruckus.

"I do think hopefully, me walking into the villa the girls will have something to look at."

Teddy's arrival into the villa was teased at the end of last night's episode. Tune in tonight at 9pm to watch his first appearance.
