A moped driver who was caught nearly four times over the drink-drive limit has been banned from driving for three years.
Lukasz Roguski, aged 40, of Francis Street in Chesham, appeared at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 7 and pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
The court heard how Roguski had been drinking before driving a Piaggio Zip moped in Lowndes Avenue, in Chesham, on March 28.
After doing a breath test, Roguski registered as having 137 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millimetres of breath, nearly four times the 35-microgram limit.
Police also discovered that the offender was driving without third-party insurance and without a licence.
At court, magistrates gave Roguski a three-year driving ban and also ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work within the next year.
He was also told to pay costs of £180.
