PennFest organisers say they are "excited" to be back with another spectacular festival next week - and while restrictions are being lifted on July 19, there will still be some conditions of entry.

Thousands of people usually flock to Penn Street for the huge music weekender, but it had to be cancelled last year because of coronavirus.

But PennFest is back in 2021 on July 23 and 24 - and while all coronavirus restrictions are being lifted by the government on July 19, there are still important safety rules in place.

There will be some conditions of entry to "keep everyone safe", organiser say.

Anyone trying to get in will have to produce a negative lateral flow test or show evidence of double vaccination.

If you are double-jabbed, you need to download the NHS app to get a Covid pass that you can either print at home, show on your phone or bring your immunisation card on the day.

If you have no thad two jabs yet, you need to do a lateral flow test 24 to 36 hours in advance before you attend the festival.

You can order them online or get them from a pharmacy - and you need to register your results on the gov.uk website.

They will then send a text and an email that you have to show to event staff.

Once you're inside, there will be sanitasation stations, perspex screens at bars and extra cleaning, including the use of sanitisation foggers.

The warehouse will also now be in a large 'big top' to allow for increased ventilation.

This year, the line-up features Craig David, Razorlight, Ella Eyre and Big Narstie on Friday, while Saturday will see crowds enjoy Rag n Bone Man, The Charlatans, Tom Zanetti and The Brand New Heavies - and more.
