This week the Town Hall in Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, features in the main Nostalgia article as being the location of the town’s main British Restaurant during the second world war and for a few years afterwards.
By the early 1950s it was back to being the main social hub of the town, with all sorts of events and activities taking place there.
I even remember my Dad taking me to a boxing tournament there, not that I have ever been particularly interested in boxing!
