A drink driver who was caught nearly three times over the legal limit in High Wycombe town centre has been ordered to pay more than £1,000.

Appearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 21, Jamie Tagoe-Glibert, 33, admitted drink driving in High Wycombe on May 29.

The court heard how Tagoe-Gilbert, of Grubbins Lane in Speen, was drunk behind the wheel of a VW Scirocco in the Wycombe Swan multi-storey car park, in St Mary Street.

A breath test conducted on Tagoe-Gilbert found that he had 94 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millimetres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

The offender was fined £961 and ordered to pay a further £85 in costs.

He was also banned from driving for three years and two months.
