A pub in Aylesbury is allowing children to eat breakfast for free during the summer holidays.

The Cotton Wheel pub, owned by the Hungry Horse chain, has also extended this offer to all of its establishments, including Furzton Lake and the Broughton Hotel in the Milton Keynes area, and the Crooked Billet in Iver.

However, a requirement is that the parent or guardian must spend at least £2.99 on an adult meal in the eatery to qualify.

In England and Wales, the offer came into play on July 19 and will conclude on September 1, whilst in Scotland, it was launched on June 24 and it will end on August 18.

Breakfast will be available between 8am and 12noon every day throughout the summer in England.

A statement from the Hungry Horse pub reads: “We know that getting the kids to eat something balanced for breakfast can be a real challenge.

“If it’s not ice cream or covered in chocolate then what’s the point?

“Well, if it’s a Hungry Horse breakfast then it’s definitely something worth getting excited about.

“Every day through the summer holidays, we’re offering every child a free breakfast when accompanied by a paying adult.

“That means they can get a good quality breakfast and you didn’t have to cook or pay for it.”
