A High Wycombe drug driver has been caught on the road in a BMW while he was meant to be serving a driving ban.

Jermaine Hay, 41, of Rutland Avenue in High Wycombe, was caught driving along Orchard Road while he had traces of cannabis in his blood.

When he appeared at Wycombe Magistrates Court on June 22, Hay pleaded guilty to drug-driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

The court heard how on Christmas Eve in 2020, Hay was pulled over in a silver BMW and was found to have an illegal amount of drugs in his system.

Police also discovered that he was driving while he was supposed to be serving a diving ban, and was also on the roads without any kind of insurance.

At court, Hay was ordered by the magistrates to pay a £120 fine for each of his three offences. He was also told to pay a further £119 costs.

Hay was also banned from driving for three years.
