I know it’s only August and some of us haven’t had our summer holidays yet, but, it is only a matter of time before these things happen.

Chilli Fest

September 3, 4 and 5

Turn up the heat at Waddesdon’s annual chilli festival, which is guaranteed to bring you the hottest local artisan products as well as foods and gifts from some of the nation’s best loved independent traders.

Taking place in taking place in the Manor gardens set against the backdrop of the North Front of the Manor, Chilli Fest is running for a day longer than ever before, and will also offer live music, family fun and children’s craft activities, as well as the opportunity to walk around Waddesdon’s gardens.

Luna Cinema

September 9, 10, 11 and 12

The Luna Cinema returns to Waddesdon Manor this year with four great films set against the backdrop of the House. Pack up a picnic and spend an evening under the stars watching either Knives Out (2019), Pretty Woman (1990), Grease (1978) or Star Wars: A New Hope (1977).

Open furniture month

September 1-30, Wed-Sun

To protect from light and dust, ordinarily Waddesdon’s furniture remains closed. Throughout September, see doors and drawers pulled open to reveal seldom-seen interiors and hidden compartments, offering the opportunity to view Waddesdon’s remarkable furniture in a new way.

The Cryptid Safari has come to Waddesdon, bringing the chance to encounter beasts seen in this world only when the veil is thin. Are you brave enough to venture into the trees and uncover a world of fairie folk, imps and trolls?

Baron Edmond Dinner

This special dinner will begin with an aperitif of Rothschild Champagne on arrival, followed by a mouth-watering five course menu designed by Waddesdon’s Head Chef.

From the rare and delicious Le Merle Blanc, to the rich and exotic Barons des Laurets, each dish with be carefully paired with a wine from the Baron Edmond de Rothschild portfolio, offering a feast for the senses that is not to be missed.

November 13-January 3

Visit Waddesdon for an enchanting outdoor extravaganza that will brighten the end of your year. Soak up the sights, smells and sounds of Christmas as you browse hand-selected stalls at Waddesdon’s famous Christmas Fair, and enjoy a hot chocolate or two as you wander the landscaped gardens with loved ones.
