Actor Rowan Atkinson has been spotted in Aylesbury filming scenes for a new show.

The 66-year-old, who is best known for portraying Mr Bean throughout the 1990s, was seen in the town shooting segments for the new Netflix comedy Man vs Bee.

It has been reported that he had been shooting scenes in the town since August 9 and was seen ‘filming at the old courthouse’, according to an eyewitness.

Plans for the comedy were confirmed back in December last year, with the Netflix UK & Ireland Twitter page revealing the news.

In their statement, they said: “Renowned actor and comedian Rowan Atkinson plays a new character in this riotous comedy.

“A man finds himself at war with a bee while housesitting a luxurious mansion.
