A Bucks man who broke into a popular car garage and attempted to steal from the vehicles there has been jailed.

Jamie Davey, aged 39, of Dane Court in Aylesbury, broke into Sportif Citroen, a well-used garage located in Park Street, Aylesbury, on March 21.

While he was there, Davey “interfered” with four different cars with the intention of either stealing them, stealing parts from them or stealing something from inside.

He also stole car speakers from a vehicle at the dealership.

The cars he “interfered” with were a Citroen Picasso, a Citroen Berlingo, a Peugeot 308 estate and a Vauxhall Corsa.

Appearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on July 8, Davey pleaded guilty to four counts of vehicle interference, one count of theft from a motor vehicle, one count of burglary and one count of failing to surrender to custody.

Davey was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison for the offences. He was also ordered to pay £128 costs.
