A school will upgrade its gates and fences to ‘restrict playground visibility’.
Bucks Council has ‘accepted’ a planning application for Abbey View Primary School (Academy), on Kennedy Avenue, in High Wycombe.
It proposes ‘additional fencing (with gates) along the public boundary to enclose the main school entrance, and amendments to the existing fencing to the early years playground to restrict visibility’.

“The additional fencing and gates along the site boundary will not exceed two metres in height,” a document states. “The proposed alterations to the existing fencing do not alter the height of the existing fencing.”
A grant certificate was issued on August 19.

The primary school opened its doors for the first time in September 2019 and is part of the new Pine Trees development by Taylor Wimpey.
It is believed to have been the first new primary school built in High Wycombe for 50 years.
