A Chesham man who sexually assaulted a woman in Aylesbury has been added to the sex offenders register but avoided jail.

Vasile Neacsu, 47, of Pearce Road in Chesham, was found guilty of sexual assault at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on July 14.

The court heard how Neacsu touched a woman in a sexual way without her consent in Aylesbury on July 19, 2020.

Despite pleading not guilty, magistrates found him guilty at a summary trial.

Neacsu had also admitted to assaulting a police officer and attempted assault of a police officer in Chesham. Both of these offences took place on December 12, 2020.

The defendant was ordered to pay £500 compensation and an additional £395 costs for the three offences.

He was also ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and was added to the sex offenders register for five years.
